FAQS
Who should participate in AI Workforce Modernization?
AI Workforce Modernization is for the people who will actually use AI in their daily work, and the leaders who manage them. Hands-on training is delivered for up to 10 people per program, so rGen recommends a cross-functional group drawn from the teams that own your priority use cases, plus the managers who set process and approve change. Your most important AI investment isn’t a tool; it’s your people.
How is the training plan customized?
The training plan is customized during Plan the Journey, the first three-week phase of AI Workforce Modernization. rGen defines your goals, objectives, and timing, identifies the bottlenecks slowing your team down, creates a prioritized project list, and determines your current level of AI proficiency. The training plan is then built against those findings and taught using your own tools, data, and workflows, so people practice on real work instead of sample exercises.
How is the organization's current AI proficiency determined?
rGen determines current AI proficiency during the Plan the Journey phase, looking at practical skill rather than tool licenses. The review covers how people work with AI today, process design skills, technical capability, and understanding of governance and responsible use. It gives leaders visibility into where proficiency already exists and where additional support is needed, and it becomes the baseline you measure progress against once training and the pilot are underway.
What happens during the five days of hands-on training?
The five days of hands-on training take place during Modernize the Team, an eight to ten week phase, and are delivered for up to 10 people. Training is learning by doing: participants work in your own tools on your own use cases, adjusting real workflows to take advantage of AI rather than watching demonstrations. Sessions cover practical AI use, process design, and responsible use, and end with the team identifying a use case to pilot.
How is the pilot use case selected?
The pilot use case is selected from the prioritized project list created in Plan the Journey, and the choice is made with your team rather than for them. rGen looks for a use case that is genuinely useful, achievable in a reasonable timeframe, and visible enough to build confidence. The right pilot also has the data, permissions, and process ownership within reach. The goal is a real business outcome and a team that learns by building it.
What kinds of AI agents can be co-developed?
rGen co-develops the practical, everyday agents that come out of your prioritized use cases. These might include agents that answer questions from internal knowledge, prepare documents and reports, route or triage requests, summarize information, or remove manual steps from a workflow. Agents are built on the technologies you already own and designed to be easy to maintain, so your team can extend and support them once rGen’s involvement ends.
How are governance and permissions addressed?
Governance and permissions are handled as part of co-developing the agent, before it is rolled out. rGen sets the governance and permissions that determine who can use the agent, what data it can reach, and how changes are reviewed and approved, working within your existing policies and structures. Your team learns the governance framework while applying it, which is what makes responsible AI adoption repeatable.
What happens after the agent is rolled out?
Once the agent is rolled out to team members, your organization is on its way to AI self-sufficiency: innovation mindsets, process design skills, technical capabilities, and governance frameworks in place, with a working solution to show for it. Many teams then repeat the pattern on the next use case from their prioritized list. Where ongoing expert help is useful, rGen’s AI Center of Excellence on Demand provides training, troubleshooting, development, and optimization support.
